Quick appointment booking

If you would like to get married at the registry office responsible for the registration and this registry office has an online appointment system for marriages, you can reserve your preferred date. For registry offices without an online wedding calendar, you can enter your preferred date when registering.

Your chosen date will be sent to the registry office together with your registration. Once your registration has been checked and approved, the date can be booked with binding effect.

If you were married abroad and would like to have your marriage entered in a German marriage register, you can use the online service here. The online service is completed by a spouse.

First carry out the quick check to ascertain whether you fulfil all the requirements for the online service.

Then enter your details and upload the required documents. You may have to submit the original documents to the registry office. In this case, your registry office will contact you. You can find more information on subsequent certification here.
